Since 1951, Redwood Empire Awning has been at the forefront of custom-made canvas awnings, industrial canvas products, and canvas products for agricultural use. We have been a family business for seven decades, and as such, we take pride in offering high-quality, durable, and exceptional customer service.
Don J. Lenney started his awning career at Swanfeldt Awning Company in Los Angeles, CA. After 22 years with Swanfeldt Awning Company, he moved to Santa Rosa, CA where he opened Redwood Empire Awning in 1951. In the early 1970’s he passed the torch to his son Leon Lenney. Leon along with his wife Marilyn managed the company until 2010 when he passed it on to their sons, Mike and Greg Lenney. Mike and Greg combined, have over 70 years of experience in the awning trade with a strong commitment to the craft. We pay specific attention to details; each order is tailored to meet the requirements of our clients to ensure maximum quality and efficiency.

Our work has also earned us several awards, including an “Outstanding Achievement Award” presented by the Industrial Fabrics Association International and awards from the Western Canvas Products Association.

We are qualified as a California State Licensed Contractor, and as such, we offer our services to residential and commercial customers by providing them with custom awning solutions that transform their residential houses and businesses.
